Robert has over 30 years of experience acting for parties on both sides of litigation disputes, including individuals and institutional clients, and he uses that experience and perspective to help parties successfully resolve their disputes. He has been a Deputy Judge of the Small Claims Court (Central East Region) since 2006, presiding over numerous trials, motions and settlement conferences. He is a member of the ADR Institute of Ontario, and has received the designation of Qualified Mediator (Q.Med).
Robert is available to provide mediation and arbitration services throughout Ontario, including by way of ZOOM videoconference and/or telephone conference.
Current rates for mediation (exclusive of disbursements) are as follows:
Half-day (3 hour) Mediation (Roster rates):
$600.00 plus HST for two parties
$675.00 plus HST for three parties
$750.00 plus HST for four parties
$825.00 plus HST for five parties or more
For each additional hour (or portion thereof) beyond three hours, an additional $350.00 per hour plus HST.
Full-day Mediation:
$2,000.00 plus HST for two or three parties
$2,150.00 plus HST for four or more parties
Cancellation Policy:
Mediations cancelled ten (10) days or less prior to the scheduled date will be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the Mediator’s fee, plus any disbursements and administrative costs, plus applicable HST. Mediations cancelled thirty (30) days or less, but more than eleven (11) days, prior to the scheduled date will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the Mediator’s fee, plus any disbursements and administrative costs, plus applicable HST. Mediations cancelled thirty-one (31) days or more prior to the scheduled mediation will not attract any cancellation fee, save and except any third-party disbursements (i.e., room bookings) that may have an associated cancellation fee.
